May Reflections: A Season of Growth, Inside and Out

By Erin McCollough

As the world around us softens into spring and the days begin to stretch a little longer, we’re reminded that healing and growth often unfold quietly—just beneath the surface.

May brings with it more than warmer weather and blooming flowers. It invites us to pause, to notice, and to reconnect with our bodies, our hopes, and the rhythms of nature that mirror our own cycles of change.

At Fertile Hope, we see this season not just as a time of renewal, but as an opportunity to recenter. It’s a moment to check in with yourself, whether you’re actively trying to conceive, processing grief, or simply learning to trust your body in new ways.

This month, consider taking time to move with intention, spend time outside, breathe deeply, and create space for quiet reflection. Nourish yourself with the foods, routines, and rituals that help you feel grounded. And give yourself permission to try something new, whether it’s a gentle yoga flow or a calming visualization.

Most importantly, remember that just like the natural world, your journey will not always follow a straight path. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t unfolding exactly as it should.

Wherever this season finds you, we are here to walk with you.
