We will explore methods such as fertility hypnosis, meditation, visualization, gratitude, and affirmation in this article in relation to creating a fertile mindset. We are operating powerful machinery (our minds and bodies) and don’t know half of its potential! So how can we unlock the power of our minds? Not so simple, but anything is possible! I personally believe that if this potential power lies within us, then so do the answers and instructions to use this power.
The key is our attention – when we put our attention on anything, that is where it goes.
Although our minds are vast and can do many things at once, our conscious mind can really only process a limited amount at a time. If we are constantly distracted with what’s in front of us, then we cannot tap into our inner intelligence which theancients have been guiding us to do for centuries!
How can methods such as fertility hypnosis help fertility?
There are studies that show that stress can impact reproductive health. We know that both emotional and physical stress can literally stop a period and cause hypothalamic amenorrhea. If stress can stop a period, then it certainly affects ovulation which stops fertility in its tracks! While this type of stress is extreme, there has to be an effect in the spectrum of stress – even if it isn’t as extreme but is chronic.
Research has shown that the stress hormone cortisol can reduce luteinizing hormone pulse frequency by inhibiting gonadotropin-releasing hormone pulsatility in the hypothalamus. This can affect ovulation and thus affect reproductive health. There are many ways to access your amazing ability to re-set and improve our body’s vitality and overall health through the mind.
Here are 5 amazing methods including fertility hypnosis that not only create ease and peace but can also help you to access your subconscious mind to create lasting benefits for your fertility!
01 Meditation
Meditation is one of the most powerful ways to create transformation!Meditation has been practiced by many cultures throughout history and has been referred to as the way to connect to our highest selves and utilize our greatest potential. Science is now backing up the many benefits that meditation can provide.
Some physiological effects are:
– Improves heart health by lowering blood pressure– Reduces physical tension- Improves sleep (which is essential for hormone balance!)- Lowers serum cortisol
Meditation is an amazing tool for mental well being – something that may often be overlooked but very much needed, especially for the fertility journey.
Benefits of meditation on the mind include:– Improved focus (so important for making fertility decisions!)- Decreased anxiety and depression– Increased patience and tolerance- Increases joy and creativity

02 Affirmations
Affirmations are phrases that you say daily which affirm what it is you would like to attract into your life.
This doesn’t need to be anything from the outside, it can also be things like having more patience, eating healthier, or being at peace with your journey.
We can use affirmations as a way to become conscious of what it is that we would like our subconscious mind to adopt. We can also use affirmations in a way that attracts to us what we would like to have in our lives.
Self-affirmations have been shown in studies to decrease stress and change a person’s perspective of a perceived threat. The key with affirmations is to say them in the present state. For example, affirmations should not start with “I want” because then you are affirming that you don’t have or that something is lacking. Affirmations are effective when stated as if they already exist. Many like to tie in gratitude (more on that in a bit!) as an affirmation. “I am thankful that I have…” in the present tense.

03 Gratitude
Gratitude opens us up to a more beautiful perspective of our life events. It turns any challenging journey into one of more hope and strength.
Gratitude opens us up to a more beautiful perspective of our life events. It turnsany challenging journey into one of more hope and strength. There are always things that we can find to be grateful for. But there are also amazing benefits to this practice!
Benefits of practicing gratitude are:-Overall well-being-Improved sleep-Decreased depression-Improved relationships-Positive emotions
I personally have seen lives change when they began a gratitude journal! I suggest to my clients to weave them into affirmations. For the first week, write down a few things that you are grateful for in your life, and for the following weeks do the same, only add a few affirmations in the form of gratitude for things you want to attract into your life. It works like magic!
04 Visualization
Visualizations are more than imagination. Everything we are designed with has a purpose even though not all our inner workings have been fully explained yet in science. One thing that is fascinating is that we can activate our motor cortex (which signals activity in our bodies) by simply thinking about our body doing something!
This may explain why in a study with three groups of athletes, the group that visualized practicing had a very similar level performance as the one that actually physically practiced compared to the underperformance of the third group, which did not practice or visualize the sport.
If visualizing can prepare athletes to excel in a game, imagine (pun intended!) what it can do for our reproductive health!
05 Fertility Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a technique performed by a trained hypnotherapist or hypnotist to create a state of consciousness where the subject or patient is highly receptive to suggestion.
The subconscious mind is the part of our minds that stores memories, behavioral patterns, and deep programming. It is the part of our minds that is more abstract as opposed to our linear and logical conscious mind. It is more difficult to access which is why deep-rooted, long term habits are so hard to change.
The subconscious mind also impacts our physiology. It is in charge of our autonomic nervous system which controls heartbeat, breathing, digestion, and other necessary physiological processes. Studies have shown that brain areas are altered during deep hypnotic trances. This is very promising as many deep-seated beliefs can be released during a state of hypnosis. Hypnosis can also provide suggestions for your physiological functions such as balancinghormones, improved egg quality, and so on.
